This is a common error of portable apps made using VMware ThinApp. The direct and only universal solution is - delete all temp files and folders (outside of the main program folder) generated by the portableware you are using. Take GoodSync for example:

• C:\ProgramData\GoodSync (whole folder)
• C:\Users\G\AppData\Roaming\GoodSync (whole folder)
• C:\Users\G\AppData\Local\CrashDumps (whole folder)
• C:\Users\G\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows\WER\ReportArchive (whole folder)
